Our sister nursery which is only a few miles away has been open for over 4years, has an impeccable reputation with an incredible Ofsted report, heartfelt reviews, detailed testimonials and over a year long waiting list. Little Hummingbird Nursery is run under the exact same ethos with passionate staff who are dedicated to every single child that walks through our doors.

Starting Nursery
As we all know choosing the right nursery for your child can be very daunting but an exciting experience in yours and your child’s life. Here at Little Little Hummingbird Nursery we provide excellent early education for children aged 3months - 5years and you can rest assured knowing that each day your child will be welcomed and embraced into a safe, stimulating and loving environment, centred to suit each individual learners needs.
One of our most important values at Little Hummingbirds is our relationship ethos of working with parents and we firmly believe in an open-door policy, inviting you and your child to come and visit our nursery to explore our environment and discuss your childcare requirements.

Following your visit if you decide that we are the nursery for you we will arrange two 45 minute stay and play sessions to begin your child’s settling in process. Settling into a new environment can be very emotional for some children and not so much for others. We understand this and together, with parents will take an individualistic approach to settling each and every child. During the settling in period your child will be allocated a ‘Key Person’ which will allow parents to build a positive bond with their child’s allocated adult from the very first day.
All parents are sent our policies once registration is complete and these will be updated accordingly. Parents are informed of the systems for registering queries, complaints or suggestions.

At Little Hummingbird Nursery we believe that for children to strive, parents and staff need to work together in close partnership to ensure the best outcomes for their child are always achieved. We recognise that parents/carers have a fundamental role in their child’s development as their first educator and our aim is to support this by building relationships centred on trust and understanding. It is important that we, as practitioners, can support parents/carers in an open and sensitive manner.
Our bonds with parents are just as important as our bonds with your child/children therefore we will use our parent WhatsApp group, Famly App, Newsletters and so much more to consistently keep you informed.
